Driving comparison against Audi Q5 on 20" wheels?

I have a 2023 Q5e with the air suspension, and also a 2023 MYP. Unfortunately, in terms of overall build and ride quality, there is no comparison. In fact, I would argue that the build quality of the Q5 likely matches or even exceeds that of the Model X, from my time playing around the Model X...

How happy are you with your Martian wheels?

Looks great! I assume these are the 9.5" wide versions, right?

Maximum Tires Size Model Y Performance?

More sidewall means more comfort and (subjectively) looks better since it fills in the wheel well. Wider means more grip and also the tires stick out more and protects better against curb rash.

Model Y Performance 21" Tires - Larger, More Comfortable Fitment Details and Experience - Michelin AS4's (With Photos)

You can't rotate front and back with staggered sizes. You'll need new wheels and new tires for a squared setup if you want to rotate front and back.

    Model Y Performance Wheel Specs

To expand on what the other person said, you can think of it like this. When you turn your steering wheel, you're turning the wheels and not the tires. You need the tires to turn before your car actually responds. And tires with taller sidewalls will, all else being equal, take longer to...

Strange sound when I move forward or reverse.

Supposedly it has to do with the tire label thingy rubbing on the wheel. Harmless and will go away after a few thousand miles. How many miles on yours? https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/new-myp-tire-squeak.287486/

2022 MYP Steering rack Failure. Tesla DENYING warranty coverage due to aftermarket wheels 20x10 with 275 40 20 set up

Not so much a question for you directly, just throwing the question out there, what would fall under "same specification?" Would something that is lighter or heavier be considered the same? How about different offset? TSportline and MW probably have the wheels that are closest to the OE...

Thin double-sided tape for aftermarket emblems and lettering

I'm looking to get black badges (front and back logo and "dual motor") for my MY, but it seems that every one I came across (Amazon, Tesery, etc) is using a relatively thick double-sided tape which makes the badges and lettering "float," as opposed to the very thin tape used on the factory...

Model Y Performance 21" Tires - Larger, More Comfortable Fitment Details and Experience - Michelin AS4's (With Photos)

Would upsizing the overall diameter as suggested here cause any problems with the ESC and whatever other electronic systems the car has for managing traction, AWD, and such?

MYP 21" Square Wheel Setup - 275 vs 255 wide tires

The load rating on both the 21" Uberturbines and the 20" Inductions is only 750kg / 1650lbs. You can tell from the GAWR rating on the stickers:

Vendor Show Off Your Aftermarket Model Y Wheels

Thank you for the information and your very generous offer! I'm still babying and getting used to my recent delivery, so I wouldn't dare drive anybody else's at the moment. I do have a separate question that I DM'd you, if you don't mind.

Vendor Show Off Your Aftermarket Model Y Wheels

Did you do some research before going 275s on the 9" wheels? I know they technically fit, but it's really cutting it close, right? Did your tire shop give you any trouble with that setup? And the load rating on the wheels is like 50lbs lower than the lowest of the three MY OE wheels. No...

FT: MYP 21" Ubers for Inductions or Geminis + cash (Bay Area / Sacramento)

Picked up a MYP this past weekend and they came with the Michelin Pilot Sport AS4s. About 60 miles on them right now, no curb rash or any blemishes. Looking to trade for Inductions or Geminis in similar wheel condition. Barely any tire tread on your set is OK, so long as you add additional...
