Ummmm... So I got the recall email and less than 1 week later my 2014 Model S steering failed. I found 2 sheared off bolts in the driveway. Now the car is at Tesla Montreal waiting for a new rack. I wonder how long it’ll take.... hating my Ford loaner.

I agree with most of this. Ottawa isn't really "on the way" to somewhere else which is why, I suspect, there are no superchargers. Day trips become a problem, but realistically, an Ottawa day trip would only happen from Montreal or Kingston. Other travellers would stay overnight and destination...
