creaking @slow speed /turning after upper control arms replaced

If they replaced your upper control arm, you have a brand new ball joint. Presuming they installed a new control arm lol…..there’s no need to inject grease. Sounds like the creaking you heard wasn’t from the upper control arm….or not the only thing creaking. BTW I had a manual...

What's the difference between 'style' variations of tires on Tire Rack?

If you compare the specs on TireRack the Tesla spec ones have a wider tread width of 8.8” vs 8.5 for the generic. Whether there’s a real difference who really knows.

250wh per pile to get performance rated range of 315 miles

Battery degradation is a whole other can of worms. I have several led flashlights that use 18650’s and there are variations in every single cell I have. Considering a Tesla battery pack uses thousands of individual cells…..There will be variations in packs. Now add in BMS calculations…and...

250wh per pile to get performance rated range of 315 miles

It was 310 when new. I have the P3D+ aka 20” summers. But I never really ran them. I’ve been running 20” staggered PS4S in the summer and 19” with Blizzaks in the winter. Neither of which are “efficient” setups lol.

250wh per pile to get performance rated range of 315 miles

If that’s the case I think you’re worrying about it too much. I’m just one data point but my 2018 performance has 76k miles on it, 323wh/mile lifetime average, current max charge is 296. I’ve driven a round trip from NY-Chicago, take numerous 200-400 mile(round trip) ski trips in the winter...

250wh per pile to get performance rated range of 315 miles

@gottagofast I tried reading through the thread to see the reason why you need to hit the rated range…but got lazy lol. What’s the reason why you’re trying to hit it? Do you have a trip that’s 300-315 miles that you need to make that doesn’t offer a supercharger along the way? Otherwise I...

    Mountain bikers

That was an issue for me too…so I kept my saddle lower. Only until I got back into riding and got a dropper did I realize I was never in the optimal position for pedaling all those years lol. It was a world of difference having my saddle at the right height for pedaling too. At full...

    Mountain bikers

Oh definitely! Everyone has their preferences. I rode a lot when I was in my teens and 20’s. Then took a 15-20yr break and started riding again 5yrs ago. Was riding my old Marin at first and then upgraded to a modern bike with a dropper. Depending on the trails you ride and riding style...

Nice! The dropper will proabbly take a ride or two to get used to. I don’t know how anyone can really ride without one lol. The weather here has been tough. Not that it’s too cold. It’s actually the opposite. With nights below freezing and warmer daytime temps….the freeze thaw has been...

    Charge Port Door Broke Off!

The wrong pressure washer in the wrong hands is a bad idea, but the right pressure washer in the right hands is a great idea for a vehicle. That if someone cares about trying to maintain and reduce swirls on the paint 😃.

2018 Tesla model 3 performance range drop

Just wanted to add some data points. My 2018 performance 3 charged to 279@90% and 310 at 100% when I first got it. I’m at 73.6k miles and it’s now 296@100%. Up until Tesla lowered the daily charge limit to 80% I charged to 90% even though my daily commute is only 45-50 miles……just...

250wh per pile to get performance rated range of 315 miles

Oh no doubt….on my 20mile (one way) commute to work I could easily hit 280wh/mile if I drive the speed limit (55mph) and the weather is 50-60deg. Same conditions, If I drive 75mph (flow of traffic in left lane) I hit 310wh/mile. On my last ski trip I avg 438wh/mile with 15deg temps, climate...

250wh per pile to get performance rated range of 315 miles

All this talk about trying to get 250 wh/mile on a performance model 3….my 2018 has 74k and a lifetime of 320 wh/mile. I would love to even get under 300 lol.
