Got our replacement in the mail a couple weeks ago. I tested turning it off and on at the breaker... with and without the internet working... no issues. We even have had a couple power outages since... and, no issues. My original wall connector was probably just a dud.

As I get more info/solutions, I'll update this thread. Friend had an extra mobile charger that he gave to me that's going to help us out for now. It has a 14-50 plug adapter and I might install one of those in my garage as a backup.
