Even worse they seem to be rebranding the existing Chargefox U-Park sites, e.g. Topham Mall and Rundle. Can anyone confirm? I went to charge in Rundle the other day but all the chargers were broken so maybe they were anticipating the new branding. Sticking an RAA sticker on the existing...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Yes, they're terrible, require you to use an American accent, and require the passengers to shush for a minute while I get increasingly infuriated with the dialogue. "Shush a minute kids I need to have a conversation with the car to switch on the seat bacon".

    Tesla Model Y in Australia

I had a test drive of the Geely Volvo XC40 Recharge AWD on the weekend just past. It's a really nice small BEV, but it's not what I expected from a Volvo - it's nice inside but it's just a generic mid spec car with a clunky android tablet interface. Certainly no sign of Scandinavian design...

    HomeLink Solution for Australia

Just bought a brand new Ditec from Remotepro and installed it two days ago. Suddenly I'm back in the 1990's and the neighbours are opening and closing my garage door. Significant word of warning here. I'll see if I can program Channel 2 and perhaps a different remote button but this is concerning.

Frunk hooks for Model 3 are apparently no longer a thing...

I've now sent 6 emails to [email protected] as a follow up to a St Leonards visit in December when they said they would order in the parts and get back to me. Four months and complete radio silence, not even a "thanks for your email, still waiting for the parts".

Supercharger - Majura Park, ACT (Canberra)

Charged here yesterday at 117kW / 766km/hr. Only just enough time for a coffee at Maccas and a Bunnings run. Nobody else charging while I was there.

I'm sure this is a coincidence, but this week's Aldi specials include an AGM deep cycle 12V battery: Deep Cycle Battery - ALDI Australia Bring on tomorrow.

    Model 3 Accessories

Thanks for posting the link. Interesting - no 20" snow chains for the Performance model. Homelink is $460, but since it was listed as a standard feature when I ordered I am expecting it to be included in mine. Also, in order to get two Lightning USB cables it appears you need to buy two...

Yes, got the call about 12:30 today (Monday), confirmed for Wednesday. Sounds like they got the shipment.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Having seen the error on the screen myself, they aren't making this up. Tesla aren't deliberately sitting on cars - they don't recognise the revenue until delivery so it's not in their best interest to fill up their delivery centres with customers cars.

    Model 3 Charging in Australia

Out of interest - for those with single phase are you getting a 32A breaker or a 40A?

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I stood in line at St Leonard’s seems like years ago. I was late in ordering as I was OS when orders opened up - maybe a week?

Sydney here. Delivery booked - they’re starting next week but I will collect mine the week after due to travel. Annoyed I’ll miss the best Fathers Day present ever. The hidden VIN was correct.
