    Best tires for 2024

The time has come to replace my tires. 2022 MYLR with 20" Inductions. I swapped the OEM tires for 255/45R20 Vredestein Quatrac Pro tires and got about 35K of use out of them. I live in Denver so I need something that can handle reasonable snow - the Quatracs did this very well. Also not opposed...

Phone calls not coming through speakers

Update: volume was all the way down. Issue resolved and I now feel sufficiently stupid.

Phone calls not coming through speakers

Unsure what I would check since there have been no setting adjustments on either phone. Phone calls also work OK on other Bluetooth devices.

Phone calls not coming through speakers

In the past few days, phone calls have stopped working correctly. I believe the microphone is still working, but the phone call audio is not coming over the sound system and it sounds like the line is dead. Tried power cycling twice and the issue is happening with two different phones, also...

20" Goodyear Eagle F1's for sale (Denver, CO)

Selling my stock Goodyear tires that came on the car at delivery. Purchased in November and removed in January, driven less than 3000 miles all in town. Pictures to be posted in the comments. $750 OBO for the set of four, will ship at buyer's expense.

    Roof luggage carrier

I installed the roof rack and will add/remove the ski rack as needed. It's easy enough to put on and take off...so are the crossbars but I'd rather leave them on and not risk cracking the roof glass. I noticed a range hit which coincided with extreme cold so I can't attribute it fully to this...

Just sold my Model Y - Parting thoughts

Have to agree on the lack of buttons to a degree. I love the display...however controlling simple functions like volume, temperature, etc. while the car is in motion can be difficult with the screen especially coupled with the harsh ride. Difficult to get my finger to hit the right thing on the...

What's your next EV after Tesla?

Good point, Tesla really is on an island all its own. Legacy manufacturers are trying to beat them, start-ups are trying to be them. I said in another post that a Toyota/Lexus EV comparable to the MY would be a good contender. As far as a true EV company though, my opinion of Polestar is pretty...

What's your next EV after Tesla?

I am with you. Tesla is out to prove what Toyota has proven time and again in terms of being a dependable manufacturer. Not to say I've had major problems with the Tesla, but Toyota Care is a huge asset and I'd have no questions about build quality and service options. It's likely by then too...

    What company is this charger?

Looks like the Wallbox charger for sale on Amazon. Perhaps there is an unbranded commercial version of this charger? https://www.amazon.com/Pulsar-Level-Electric-Vehicle-Charger/dp/B08H3PPJXY/

Why so many Tesla’s in the span of a few years?

Tesla also uses (or will use, if not implemented already) closed-loop recycling which enables certain battery components to be re-used.

Water in Frunk after touchless car wash

My point is that rubber seals can only handle so much pressure, and the high-pressure touchless carwash likely exceeds that threshold. It is only a soft piece of rubber after all, can't expect the world from it.

Water in Frunk after touchless car wash

Should note too that a bit of water would come through the moonroof in my previous car (presumably with similar rubber seals). You make an excellent point.

Water in Frunk after touchless car wash

I've experienced this as well, and was told by a SA that the seals around the frunk don't stand up well to high water pressure, but will work OK to keep rain out. Appears to be a known issue, keep a towel in there when washing or dry out after is my best advice. I wish I'd have known that before...
