I just saw a post on cl for a 50A (allegedly) extension cord that terminated in 14-50P and 14-50R My question is: What's the P and the R for? Prong and Recepticle maybe? Why not M and F for Male and Female ... or is that just too carnal?

Two things I don't understand: (i) why EVs seem to have become a political wedge issue (well I suppose someone somewhere is making money or gaining votes by making it so) (ii) why the right wing seem to hate EVs (a generalisation to be sure) but Elon, who in fairness seems to gravitate to that...

Funny you should say that (right at the beginning of this thread) but I have had that happen in an icemobile - but that was because the pickup must have been at the front of the tank causing it to cavitate when the fuel sloshed to the back I've heard similar (but opposite) happens in a Cessna...

I had a car that had a cupholder with little spring loaded "fingers" inside it so that any cup up to the size of the opening could be accommodated

I'm in the "Other" category, but only because if it's the weekend, or if I'll be heading out soon then I don't bother, but really I should be in the "Yes" category

I wonder why the people who make cupholder inserts . . . don't make cups too! Seems like a lost income stream to me and don't take this the wrong way but this is the epitome of a First World Problem 🤡
