    Highland Efficiency

My LR is now at 226Wh/mile after 3500 miles since the beginning of March. I tend to drive pretty economically these days so that obviously helps but the car seems very frugal, quite a lot better than my previous M3P. Now that the weather's warmed up a bit, it's usually around the 190 -...

Charging a cupra born on an old tesla wallbox

Not sure if your charger is the same as mine (mine is an early 'Elon signature' version), but with mine, IIRC, there's a jumper switch inside the charger that needs to be set to allow charging of non-Tesla's. It's been a while, but I think I found the info in some instructions after a bit of...

    So… Highland is out…

Just to add to the whole 'missing stalks' issue though, I think if you were someone who quickly got used to the switch from traditional front mounted binnacle instruments to a single big screen, then I can't see you having problems getting used to the lack of stalks.

    So… Highland is out…

Received my M3 Highland LR yesterday having previously run a M3P since December 2019. Only done about 100 miles but initial impressions are that it's a really nice upgrade to the previous car. As has been well documented already, the ride is massively improved but I'm comparing it to a P so...

    So… Highland is out…

I'm actually looking forward to the challenge of learning to use the new controls - a bit like how I enjoy having to think about my gear changes in my old 911 that has a dogleg change for 1st gear. We'll see though. Car arrives in early Feb.

any recommendations for reliable air inflator

I picked up the Dewalt 18V battery one, simply because I have a bunch of tools that use that battery. Works great and very handy. DeWalt DCC018N-XJ 18V Li-Ion XR Cordless Inflator - Bare - Screwfix I got mine for £100 in a sale (bare ie. without the battery)

[UK] Is it worth buying a 2019 M3P in 2023?

I'm just coming to the end of my 4 year lease with my P. 46k miles (averaging 275Wh/m). Have to say, whoever gets this as a second hand car will be getting a whole lot of car for the money. Still looks like new after a good wash and there's no real battery degradation that I can notice...

    [UK] ‘Highland’ order discussion

No idea but I presume that if you place an order for something advertised then you'd expect to get that. I specifically waited to place an order until after they'd updated all the information on their website with the new revisions to the car. Just seemed odd to then have to ask them to make...

    [UK] ‘Highland’ order discussion

After chasing Tesla a couple of times via SMS, I've been told that orders that 'would like' an upgraded Model 3 need to be put on hold until January. Really not sure what would have happened had I not contacted them to check about this given their website is clearly selling the new model. Are...

    [UK] ‘Highland’ order discussion

Not quite sure I understand you there tbh. Their website describes the new version of the Model 3 very clearly (as far as I can see) and I'd expect any order placed via their website to be for what is described on the website. If something different to what's described arrives, I'm not sure...

    [UK] ‘Highland’ order discussion

Placed an order last week for the new 3 LR to replace my 3 P whose lease is up in December. My app is quoting a delivery of mid to end December which seems way to early for the new revision model. ...actually I just heard back from Tesla after I queried the same and they've said they're going...

Multiple safety systems failure (M3P) completely out of the blue

Just a quick update. Tesla had me booked in for last Thursday to get it fixed but said that it could be up to 4 hours wait while they did the work. I said I couldn't do that so they ended up sending out a ranger this morning to my work. Fixed in 10 minutes so all sorted now. All a bit of...

Multiple safety systems failure (M3P) completely out of the blue

Got home and took a look and yep - there's a loose cable that's been fouling on the front passenger tyre with wires exposed. I've messaged Tesla and sent them a photo and asked them to send out a ranger to fix it. Will chase roadside assistance tomorrow as well though unless they get back to...

Multiple safety systems failure (M3P) completely out of the blue

Yep, good point. I'll do that when I get home tonight.
