I'm not surprised or upset. I think this was only for the U.S. anyhow.
Plus it has been transport Canada that caused the hold up. Did we really think that they would stop delivering 100s of regular production until our cars could be shipped? There are a few Sigs in the states that haven't been delivered but I think that is because of specific production issues or distance challenges. Again do you we expect Tesla to sit on Ps that are completed while they transport Sigs to Florida or New York etc?
I emailed and got mine.
I queried through ownership experience.
Concerning the supposed "promise", I never expected this for Canada. The homologation is just too much out of their hands. They started the process with Transport Canada months and months ago. We are actually WAY ahead of where things were with the Roadster. The Roadster took almost a YEAR to get through Transport Canada. Consider the European and Asian Signatures, they are still months and months away. The priority is only within the given market. Even so, GeorgeB has stated that the complex logistics and high production rate require a little overlap between the series.

I'm not clear where you get "supposed" from.

Notice the word that I bolded. The first 1,200 Model S vehicles delivered in North America will be Signatures.

I have not received a VIN yet (at least not when I log in to my Tesla account). Who are you all emailing to get this?
Also, is anyone taking their supposed financing option through Scotiabank? Have you heard anything about starting to fill out paperwork or get the approval process going? I have nightmare visions of some paperwork processing time holding up a delivery and I have not heard back from Hans or Martin about this even though I asked a couple of times already.

Try a generic address like delivery@teslamotors.com or buildmymodels@teslamotors.com. Those are monitored by multiple people and so someone will pick it up sooner than if you contact a specific employee (usually). I didn't ask for my VIN. An ownership experience specialist (or whatever they're called) answered my question about ordering winter tires and then threw in the info since he had noticed it was available.
Best of luck!
Ownership replied to me eventually saying that although an autogenerated VIN was in the system, they weren't going to give it to me and that they are still held up in homologation. No answer at all of financing. In fact, they seemed completely unaware of the Scotia financing that has been mentioned by the Toronto employees several times. Has anyone gotten a contact with Scotia that knows about this plan and can begin paperwork? In the past, it has always taken nearly a week for a big bank to approve a loan, so I'm concerned about delivery being delayed by the bank paperwork.
