Tires for 21inch Überturbine wheels

Looks like the tires for the Model Y Performance will be Pirelli P Zero (PZ4)?

Yea that’s crazy...really hope we can choose the 20” it’s either the shitty 19 or these over kill 21 for performance. Looks like the 20’s on the standard AWD has same 315 range as well.

Good find, 245/40/21 is more sidewall than 19" sport wheels on the model 3. And obviously more than 235/35 on the p3d.

PZero's are crazy expensive tires and wear quickly in my experience. If you decide to get these wheels make sure to set aside money in your budget for tire replacement

I'm really hoping that they offer all seasons for the colder climates. Also wondering when we will get updates on what tsportline will be offering as I'll probably be getting a set of winter wheels and if the uberturbines or their tires dont work out I would probably replace and go down to 19's.

The tires rendered on the Tesla mobile website are P Zero not P Zero (PZ4). They also show 255/15, so they're basically trolling us. What makes you think they'll be 245/40R21?

Looks like the 19” are 255’s so I doubt the 21” performance rims would have narrower tires.

Tirerack only show PS4S tires available in both 21” sizes. That’s a great tire of course but it would be nice to have more options.

Yeah, im hoping as we get closer to deliveries that there are more tire options available (all seasons) and we have a better understanding of aftermarket options for wheels (to possibly reclaim range while working with the performance upgrade)

Don’t hold your breath. The fact that only one tire model is available in these sizes indicates no other cars use this combination. I would say we’ll be lucky to see 3 tire options within 1-2 years and they’ll probably only be summer tires.

The only way I see a tire manufacturer doing an All-season tire in both these sizes is if Tesla makes it an OEM option. And I do not expect that to happen at all.

Well then hopefully tsportline updates their model y info/offerings and ill probably go that route for a set of downsized winter wheels that hopefully will work and maybe another set of downsized wheels for when the 21's eventually hit a NJ pothole...

The "Uber" seems to refer to the price of tire replacements. The Turbine part is self explanatory. I priced out the 19" tires, and they are a little less $, but not by much.
