Delivery adviser useless -- call your service center delivery manager for key info

In the month that my delivery was canceled and my VIN assigned to another buyer, I've found that my delivery adviser in the Nevada delivery center was totally useless, as also was the case for the Service Support Specialist in Utah. Neither were able to provide a new VIN or even a guess at a delivery date

So out of pure frustration I called the delivery manager today at my Owings Mills service center. In five minutes I got a new VIN and a delivery time and date: 10am on November 12. Of course, they know me, know that I have a Model S and I think that familiarity with me as a customer make a difference. The VIN was assigned more than a week ago but my delivery adviser didn't know that.

The folks in Nevada know nothing.

I agree with @Twiglett that it depends on the person you are dealing with and your own personal experience.

I had a great experience at the Raleigh office during the Q3 push, the loss of the delivery parking area, cars being moved to Charlotte and Hurricane Florence. There were a lot of people on here that had frustrating experiences with the Raleigh sales office during this time. I have no idea why my delivery went so smooth.

I had good communications with my handler in Las Vegas all the way up to delivery in Raleigh. My Delivery Agent was very good and could answer any question that my wife or I could ask. He had all of the paperwork ready to sign, was very friendly and had everything set up (phones, key cards, phone charging cables, etc.). He even had our trip route configured on the Nav for the drive home along with a Supercharger stop if necessary.
