before they start work make sure you verify they are using one piece in the back… if they say it’s not possible you need to find somewhere else…

Pickup of replacement this morning (Easter)… car was built in Fremont and was straight, no gaps, no paint issues. To boot the price for the replace t car dropped another 1500 bucks from two days ago (car #1 pickup).. so they are cutting her a check for the difference.

Yes… the app will identify the nearest Tesla Owned Collision Center and after a few days they’ll send you a rough estimate… they’ll then ask you to bring it in and they’ll take a closer look. Only problem is that the body shops weren’t working directly with insurance providers a few years ago…...

Tesla body shop will replace it… get in the APP and select “replace rear hatch” (not exact verbiage) and they’ll shoot back a rough quote.

Possibly In some alter universe… but one thing for sure is I don’t spend countless hours on forums that are basically irrelevant to me; like posting endlessly on a CT forum when I have no intention of owning one. That type of effort would definitely fall under “Tool” in the urban dictionary.

Matte black looks awesome in person… wouldn’t pay 6000 like the person above said… this vehicle easy to wrap. Someone on this forum has a company in California that will send you the wrap kit for 2000ish… even send you a test film and replacements if you F it up.

Read the contract you signed… if you converted a reservation to an order it’s probably non-refundable at that point. The contracts have changed over the years so look at the electronic one you signed online. If it’s just a reservation you get the credit automatically to the credit card used.

I’m not 100% sure but believe the problem starts when the watch app gets an update… then it starts getting glitchy until you log off and then log back in
