    [UK] 2024.14.x

I don't think there's anything US specific about Autopark vs UNECE regs. Especially now that the new software version we use also has FSD v12 codebase I would expect a global rollout of Autopark v2 (vision based) . Obviously it won't have banish/summon the way US does but for the scenario where...

    [UK] 2024.14.x

It's a choice you can (for now) change from Settings. Yes I believe it's been confirmed it will no longer show USS distances when using the new Park Assist. (So use at your own risk lol) And in the next update, the new Autopark that uses Vision only will be made available, so it will also no...

    Speed limit and warming chime

Some news on Intelligent Speed Assist. It would seem Tesla has updated the user manual (at least for M3) https://www.tesla.com/ownersmanual/model3/en_eu/GUID-C2FBB4F9-EDC1-4E18-AEE4-D1BCC23B01A3.html Excludes United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, Iceland, Turkey, Israel: A chime sounds when you...

    [UK] 2024.14.x

Park Assist (new high-fidelity visualisations) is for everyone. Opt-in basis in the settings as it disables USS. Autopark (car parks itself) requires EAP/FSD same as before.

Isn't that what Tesla does with swapped out old batteries from their cars, transformed into Powerwalls?

    [UK] Spring Software Update

Don't think that's a pattern. I was rather referring to the apparent pause in the rollouts and the fact there isn't a newer minor .x version in sight.. So I figured a week...

    [UK] Spring Software Update

Nope, but that's my case too! Was eager to compare HF Park Assist vs. USS Looks like we're paused until (hopefully) next week...

    [UK] 2024.14.x

My mistake! I don't have access to that as I am not a TeslaFi subscriber. I suppose this is a level of granularity reserved to members! Good to know, thanks!

    [UK] Spring Software Update

Yes of course, they are rolling to people who first got their MY delivered two years ago at present, so you should receive your 2024.14 update somewhere in the middle of 2026... :D
  12. W

    [UK] 2024.14.x

I'm not sure where you are getting this info from as TeslaFi doesn't report the type of AP/EAP/FSD of the vehicle in the stats afaik....

    Supercharger team sacked?

I hope for the guys who had to abandon a bit of self-respect to go back working for him after being fired that they are at least negotiating a sweet re-hiring bonus and package...

    [UK] 2024.14.x

My understanding is this version packs FSD v12 but outside USA/Canada no bits of code are used and we still rely on legacy code with UNECE provisions for AP / Summon etc... We might see some 'flags' enabled for partial upgrades like the new Autopark soon but this isn't the case yet afaik...

    [UK] 2024.14.x

Well, I have to figure out why I've fallen from Elon's grace. I used to get my updates in the first batch of the very first few % of the fleet on Teslafi. We're above 20%+ now and still nothing in sight... Still hopeful to play with it this weekend and try HF Park Assist on my USS car.

    [UK] 2024.14.x

You mean the new Tesla that gigacast unreplacable batteries into the vehicle chassis now, making giant disposable cars? :D
  18. W

    [UK] 2024.14.x

Slight difference here.... Might I say I'm fine using a third party Legacy Patcher found on the web to change the OS version on my older Mac at home, BUT, I'm not sure I would be comfortable doing the same on the machine that carries me, my wife and kids at 70+mph on the motorway....

    [UK] Spring Software Update

I don't want to start yet another argument, but same with any other car, you normally don't get new features / UI via OTA upgrades. Welcome to car ownership, where someone who once bought a 2019 model can't be really mad if the 2024 newer model has better features... Don't cry because it's...

    UK FSD Discussion

That would be great but I'm not sure I follow. Surely if Ford BlueCruise & Mercedes can already do hands free on motorways in Europe, it means the regulation already allows it? Why would we need a new piece of amendment to the legislation specifically for Tesla to do it?
  21. W

[UK] Does FSD have any second-hand value?

You still get Summon so you can get the car to move a couple of inches away to enter in a tight parking spot... that's at least £5k right there............. :D
  22. W

    [UK] Spring Software Update

It would be interesting to see if we're going to get 14.3, or if we'll be blessed with 14.6 that includes FSDv12 and could possibly change some AP/EAP behaviour here..

Do they say T3 SLA or EL04 MSK ? :D

My experience taking Tesla to court about FSD

Agree with that. Fortunately there isn't a statute of limitations. Meaning at some point, when FSD will be available in Europe, I suspect it will only be available for next-gen vehicles, judging how quickly they are dropping anything <HW3 / Intel platform currently (e.g:new Autopark). And as...

To be fair if cabin camera monitoring effectively replaces the steering wheel nag entirely in the next update and finally delivers a form of handsfree driving, I'm all for it!

My experience taking Tesla to court about FSD

Yes, we're aware. Sue anyone over anything. You might have Common Law, but over here, we've introduced Common sense...

    [UK] Spring Software Update

Actually the top table only shows the 'Pending' updates, that's indeed 1 Cybertruck. But if you scroll to the very bottom of the page, you'll see the 4 Cybertrucks (down to the partial VIN#) that have the update already installed, which match the numbers.

Intelligent Octopus Go - Gas Options

Nope, Loyal is another one, fixed term, 12mth contract. Flexible Octopus is their name for what other providers call the 'Standard Variable' tariff. Also there are no exit fees on Octopus Tracker, but if you chose to leave (to go back to Flexible for instance), their only provision is that you...

    Supercharger team sacked?

Still hard to reconcile sensible views. First, I'm guessing that apart from the handful V4 superchargers that have been installed, we will never see them widely deployed. Also, while the sizing of these SC was sufficient a couple years back, with widespread adoption and sales numbers, and the...

    [UK] Spring Software Update

I've wanted that desperately for a while now. Until a recent update in Service has allowed to view (only while Parked), every single camera around the car, including the two pillar ones. (and later full Sentry on mobile if you pay for Premium connectivity) While it will not help your particular...

    Speed limit and warming chime

Has it? For as long as I can remember, when passing a speed limit sign that was lower, AP would reduce speed automatically, but I always had to tap the screen or hold the stalk down to manually adjust when encountering a speed sign that was higher than what I had set my current speed at? I...

Octopus Electric Universe app/card and public charge points

Tried a few ones like Chargeprice, pricing information doesn't seem to get updated in real time, and sometimes it's just plain incorrect... Market indeed for an aggregator with live pricing info and an arbitrage card that'll automatically select the best provider.

Intelligent Octopus Go - Gas Options

I must have been slightly ahead of the curve. Signed up over a year ago (probably February), switched over the next day

    EU Cybertruck?

Is there a list of Tesla Centres in London that have it on display? Park Royal?
  39. W

Intelligent Octopus Go - Gas Options

Best is Octopus Tracker. Changes every day slightly based on a formula on wholesale gas prices. Consistently 50% cheaper than Standard Flexible rate. Be sure to specify that you want tracker for Gas only and remain on IO for Electric though.
  40. W

Octopus Electric Universe app/card and public charge points

And indeed it's also useful to open up the app and check well known chargers. I was used to having a pretty good deal on Engie chargers during my trips to France last year and on the last holiday. But during my last trip, the price per kWh on Electroverse had tripled, making it more expensive...

Tesla Enhanced AutoPilot, when is AutoPark available in UK?

Not that much of a leap actually, you might have missed it but Autopark for non-USS has been released as part of FSD 12 in the US on the 2024.3.x branch, just a couple week ago, for Vision only cars (non-USS) The fact that they are now porting Park Assist for USS as an opt-in in 2024.14.5 as...

Hadn't realised this! Compared to the current 1.8% for a new Model Y it's a compelling argument :D

Who is buying a LHD Refresh M S/X?

Besides the impossible resale value, which for me is the dealbreaker, what is exactly the compromised experience of a LHD to you? I had one, and honestly, unless you're frequently using a multi-storey with a ticket barrier or going to drive-throughs on your own, it can be manageable.
  45. W

    [UK] Spring Software Update

That's also part and parcel of having an automaker that develop incremental updates several times a year rather than shipping a refresh model every 2-3 years. On their side it probably avoids the 'iPhone effect' where demand falls at the end of August, but as a customer, you might have missed...

And better this way. I could see some unexpected boot openings when just standing at a random position or distance around the vehicle with just BT otherwise!
  48. W

    Supercharger team sacked?

I get the point but nevertheless if you were to sack 90% of a company’s workforce I doubt many would manage to keep the lights on and the servers running… If fast forward a couple months, on a dark winter night, I navigate to a supercharger only to find that a fuse has blown and I’m stranded...

Did Tesla design cars to be able to take a range extender just incase?

We have to educate people into understanding that, even with a 450mile range ICE, you hardly do it without a break somewhere, which you can use for charging. Clearly even the 200mi real-world range of my EV outlasts my wife's limited bladder capacity...

    [UK] Spring Software Update

Looks like it's currently packaged with FSD 12 so US only... As they're running on a dedicated 2024.3 branch we might have to wait until they bring it to UI v12 as well, so I'm guessing it's still months away...
