I haven’t installed the 10k springs yet. During the past week I’ve been debating whether I should install them because I drove my friend’s car with standard 11k/12k springs and I don’t think there’s a huge difference to my car, especially the rear end.

@stevehifi might do a better job at explaining this. I only estimated the thickness because when it’s on the car it’s sandwiched between the spring and subframe of the car, only showing a thin rubber lip, which is roughly 5mm thick.

Both @stevehifi and I decided to keep the top rubber isolators, it does not add 1/2 to 3/4 of ride height, it only adds 5mm or so. I kept the rubber isolators out right during install while @stevehifi removed them but put them back because there’s a slight noise going over bumps without them...

You do have a point regarding the location of the rear seat making it feel stiffer. I’ll try the 10k springs, if the dynamics disappoint me I’ll switch back. Fortunately the rear springs are easy to work with.

I doubt 8/11 and 9/12 are much different. Your thoughts about your MCS is exactly how I feel about my Ohlins at current settings, 15 out of 20 clicks from full stiff. I changed the front settings to 12 this afternoon but wife refuses to go out for dinner tonight 😅.

Hence why I went with Redwood Performance spring rates over standard Ohlins springs. I have no idea about the rear motion ratio on this car but telling from the geometry the rear springs should be considerably stiffer than the front, I don't get why Ohlins went for the 11/12k setup.

Just to clarify I only found the rears to be firmer than front at the same settings, but the springs on my car are different to standard R&T (8/11 vs 11/12) I kind of expect the rears to be firmer, I will change the settings in the front to compensate for that.
