SavedClips missing files

The last several clips I've attempted to save from my Tesla Model Y have only saved the event.json and thumb.png files. There are no mp4 files. I've searched various sites and discussion boards but haven't found anything about this particular issue. Does anyone know why these files are missing or whether there's any way to recover them?

M3 2024 Media Player ? no such thing?

Media Player mentioned for M3 on tesla.com and rather vaguely on M3 owners manual and introduction.
Cannot find it.
Other than the USB A in the glove box for tesla to record camera stuff it is not
clear of there is another reader port... Is the USB C in the
rear console box a reader or just power (back seat USB C are documented as just power).

2012 - 2019 Model S Suspension Ride Height Inch Increments

Would someone with an early Model S 2012 - 2019 mind taking a picture of the "Suspension" screen and posting it here. I have a Model X and want to know what the inch increments are for each suspension setting. See the attached Model X example picture. Thanks!

How and when is the Tesla-brand service worth it? Do outside services affect the warranty?

I am a relatively newer Tesla owner here. I have 5k miles on mine and drive somewhat aggressively, so it is time to rotate my tires. Tesla app quoted me $65 for a mobile rotation service, which is actually not bad in L.A. for a rotation service that comes to my doorstep. Still, I think I will forgo and visit a Discount Tire/America's Tire location to get it done for free.

This being said, I would like to know what services are generally worth doing through Tesla and their expertise versus a reputable outside service center. I would imagine that the usual things like tire-related stuff or fluid replacement could easily be done by an external service center for cheaper. But, when I start to get into more complicated things down the road like suspension issues, AC issues, electrical issues, and etc, does anyone have any input on whether it is worth it to pay the Tesla service price tag?

Also, do any particular level of outside services void any warranty coverage for my 2023 Model 3 SR Tesla? Currently, will getting the tires rotated by an outside service void any warranty coverages?

Model X camera issue help

I have a 2017 Tesla Model X 75d with AP2.5, Canada, equipped with cameras on both sides.
Issues encountered:
1. The back camera goes black when engaging reverse, and rebooting or reinstalling the software doesn't help.
(Tried to reboot with unplugging all usbs, leave it overnight) and it’s fifth day for this situation this time.
2. The dashcam doesn't record.
3. After Sentry mode records, the USB drive cannot be accessed.
Since it's out of warranty, unsure if third-party extended insurance covers the camera part. Diagnostic fees are over $110/hour. Wondering if upgrading to MCU2 is a better option now, or if there's another solution for the camera.

(Another question: if I upgrade from eap to fsd, will mcu be upgraded with purchasing fsd for 2750? Since we need to pay $1500 to upgrade hardware to subscribe fsd which is $99/month, I’m not sure what’s the upgrade for this one is, is same to MCU?)

Thanks.

Need advice: Choosing between 2023 or 2024 ModelX

I'm considering purchasing a new model X and am torn between the 2023 and 2024 models. I've tried searching for comparisons or detailed reviews between these two versions but haven't had much luck. does anyone know of any existing write-ups, or could provide a comparison based on personal experience?

Additionally, if you were in my position, which model year would you choose and why?

Thanks in advance for the insights and advice!

2015 Model S Rain Sensing Wipers Disable

Is there a way to disable the rain sensing wiper function and use the physical wiper switch to control the wipers like a vehicle without rain sensing wipers? For instance, the first setting would be low intermittent, the second setting would be high intermittent, etc. I find that even on the lowest setting, they're just too sensitive. I have done some searching around, but it seems like I'm having the opposite issue that most others have had with this function.

  • Question
New M3 LR and P, LFP or no??

I absolutely cannot get a straight answer from Tesla. I was initally led to believe the LR was not available for a while because it was going to be updated to have the same batter technology the SR had, which you could charge to 100 percent and so on...now, they are saying they aren't sure but you should charge it to 80% to be safe.

That's lame and uninformative.

Asking about the Performance as well I get some mixed answers that are always vague.

Does anyone straight up know if the latest LR and P models are LFP or not?

Help Pick Tires! 2020 MX LR+ - 22 inch Rims

Hi,

I have spent hours upon hours looking for the best tires for a 2020 MX LR+ 22 Inch Rim Tires and would really appreciate any guidance. Below are some key facts:
Drive in 20% rural roads, 40% highway, and 40% suburban driving
North Carolina - Rarely see snow
More of a run around car as we have a larger family sized SUV for roadtrips etc
Budget isn't of concern
I have contemplated switching to 20's but really like the look of the 22's and not sure if i could or know where to even sell used 22 inch rims

I currently have Pirelli Scorpion AS but they "seem" very loud. I do not have any comparison to know if that is how all MX's sound or if its a tire issue. I have read the most feedback on Hankook ION Ev being the best but Costco reps have told me the new Turanza EV tires are out of this world (Bridgestone paid to have costco tire reps test them in nashville at an event)... the reason why I didnt already get the Turanza's is that Costco keeps pushing back the date of which they will get the 22" in stock... first march, then may, now "we dont have a date". I am at the point where i need to replace the tires and am feeling like i should try to upgrade over the Pirelli AS but am I chasing a quieter tire that doesn't really exist? Any guidance from anyone w/ experience on a 2020 MX with 22 inch RIMS, would be most appreciated!

Thank you to the forum for answering so many questions over the past ~year!

2024 Model Y Long Distance: actual us postal address defined as HOME isn’t recognized

Using my actual US Postal address as HOME defined in “Navigation” doesn’t work. When parked in the garage the car thinks it’s still 100 feet away. Very aggravating as it wants to lock when I enter the house.

Not sure if there is a work around. That said is there a site to go to for either software bugs or software enhancements? I’d like to suggest an enhancement when defining HOME in Navigation to be able to select either a postal address or location coordinates.

Model S 2017 manual frunk cable issue

Hey - Tesla got back home on low battery, left it charge but was still on schedule mode. Got up thos am to find it flat, tried to get in with key, wouldn't open... Then looked up how to get in manually. On pulling the cables in the correct order both have loads of slack, but now some buggered.

Does anyone know what the next step is from here? Any other ways of getting in do injust write her off 😂

Noise while driving on the freeway, 65-80 mph?

Hello, I have a 2022 M3 LR AWD. I have noticed that when I get up to speeds past 60 mph, I hear something flapping around. It feels almost like a skid plate on the bottom of the car is catching air or something. This only happens while I am on the freeway; when driving under 60 mph, there are no issues.
Could anyone shed some light on this? I've watched the online video explaining the odd pops and sounds you may hear from your Tesla, but this doesn't seem to match any of those. I'm eager to learn from your experiences and insights.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
