What does 'Software Update' actually mean in the Tesla app?

What level software are you on . Where do you live .
Did you volunteer for fast updates?
Is your car paired with your wi fi ?

I posted that I was 10 updates behind but one can explain. I have wifi and car says I’m up to date but not true.

Saying 10 updates behind is meaningless. What model do you have, what exact version are you on and what country/area are you in?

The car will say you are up to date if you are not in the group that is staged for roll out of the given update. Tesla does a staggered roll out, they don't update every car at once.

Did you try uninstalling the app on the phone and reinstalling it? Or if you have a second device, try logging in there to see if it’s just a glitch in the app.
