I would say around $45k....yesterday I was looking at a tesla inventory used car...2015 P90DL with ~40k miles and a 4 year warranty that was pretty loaded (air suspension, 21" rims, etc) and they wanted $52k.

I really like the 19" grey wheels on your car though, i usually only see the 21" which I don't want to drive on or buy tires for. If you do decide to sell it, let me know what you are asking Ive been shopping for one.

Yeah, those wheels are awesome, there are little sparkly flecks that really shine in the sun, plus with 19” wheels the tires cost less and the ride is better. That P90DL for $52k is a pretty good deal, have not seen any that low in a while. The P90 D and the P85DL are pretty much the same quickness.

A good deal would be $45k, while the higher end would be in mid 50’s
You can see both ends for sale in the P85D market, depending upon miles. Although most don’t have Ludicrous, just P85D if I remember correctly

I mean people can list a car for whatever price they want. This car is higher mileage and pretty high battery degradation. I can't see it going for anything close to $50k to an informed buyer. Personally, I would probably be interested around $42k give or take.

Wow. It sure is pretty!

A P85DL with desirable color combo & options for 40's? ROFL. The sharks are circling...

This car is probably worth $55k +/- $2k on today's market. If you're not in a hurry to sell list it for mid to upper 50's. If you're trying to sell quickly a list price of low 50's would move it quickly.

40's with this car's feature list is giving it away. Rarely do you find a car like this even w/o Ludicrous in the 40's. Low 40's should be regarded as an insult.

Im not sure where your pricing comes from. Im comparing it to an actual car I considered buying YESTERDAY and to the blue book (which is typically sky high compared to real value). In this case the newer car with more features, speed, and warranty was $51,800 and the blue book in very good condition private party is $35,900-$43,100. Im not saying he won't find somebody that is willing to buy it for $55k, but it is in no objective way worth $55k.

Keep in mind that those prices may have been accurate a few months ago, before Raven & Model 3 price cuts

Now when you can buy a Model 3 Performance for $49k, or $55k with full self driving, it becomes tough on the used Model S market

After a certain point, a consumer would rather go for a loaded M3 capable of FSD for cheaper than a used S that’s slower, no FSD, older MCU, slower charging, less efficient, etc

You have to keep in mind what 55k can buy you now. It’s not about a calculated depreciation curve, since Tesla pricing changes frequently.

With that said, I took a 30% depreciation hit in less than a year because of price changes when I sold my Tesla. Just trying to advise someone to be wary of pricing.
It’s just what I’ve learned losing my own money

I haven’t seen or driven the car but think you did very good buying a ‘14 P85DL for $38k, if I was in the market I’d have a hard time turning that down with that much bang for the buck. A private buyer can’t really figure sales tax into their cost because most buyers have to pay it. I think you probably can make a little money and don’t think you will loose money even if you kept it for a year because Performance cars can’t get that much cheaper and the used shopper probably doesn’t have the extra money to cross shop a new S P100D anyway. The newer slipstream wheels painted grey are a nice addition without spending the extra money buying Turbines. They guys throwing high numbers are probably not the guys actually buying one. It just depends when you get ready to sell who is actually looking to buy and how quickly you want to sell. List prices are not usually what cars sell for as a point of reference and properly priced cars sell where high priced ones don’t. One last point to the guy who thinks a new Performance 3 is quicker, the Performance 3 is not in the same league as any Performance AWD S, or even X, the P3 just gets crushed immediately off the line, the specs are well documented. If you decide one day to sell it I’m sure you will be in good shape.

Model 3 is butt ugly compared to an S, I couldn't imagine cross shopping them.

I don't think the 3 is ugly per se, but I agree they really aren't cars to cross shop other than the fact that they are both electric. Its like someone shopping for a Lexus LS 460 and recommending that they check out the Audi A4. I always see people reccomend a performance 3 to anyone shopping for a used S, but I test drove them both (after putting a deposit down on a P3D-) and immediately cancelled my order and decided I want an S. The 3 is so tiny and (IMO) uncomfortable compared to the S.

Not many people will cross shop the 3 and S, unless price is the ONLY factor. They’re so different.

You think the toilet nose cone is sexier than the 3? Not saying the 3 looks nice (actually, looks like an ordinary common car to me that just blends into traffic), but that nose cone on the old S is one of the worst car designs in my lifetime.

I think this is going to have the biggest impact on sale price, 228 miles at 100% is a huge 12% hit, this is the sort of degradation level P90D's are largely experiencing and why the 85's are becoming more popular. My P85D is showing 226 miles at 90% with 40K miles, the normal degradation range for 100K miles is 4-8%.
Mine is around 35,000 miles, 90% charge is usually 234.
