For our 2018 M3 we received our first "12v battery must be replaced soon - schedule service". We went ahead and scheduled this for tomorrow AM - and I've seen a message on the main screen that says we won't receive software updates until that is completed (which makes sense). As part of this service, the estimate has a line item that says "Update Vehicle Software to Incorporate Additional Autosteer...". Does anyone know what that is for? We are already on 2023.44.30.5.1. The PDF for the estimate doesn't explain what that line item means and there is nothing to click on to expand what that means. Could it just be the 30.6 update, or is this something else.? This is a car with the 2.5 FSD computer and service is scheduled for tomorrow AM. I did post a question about it in the app on the service thread, but haven't received a response yet.
