I have 12 panels on 1 string, 6 on another, 9 on anotherVoltage is largely determined by how many panels you have wired in series. In another thread you said your system has 20 panels, all facing the same direction. If that is true I don't see how you get as high of a voltage on string 3 given the voltage on the other two strings.
Are you sure that’s the way they wired them? They showed me my diagram but I actually have no idea physically what they did on the roof and there isn’t any software available to the consumer that I’ve seen to validate the layout.I have 12 panels on 1 string, 6 on another, 9 on another
Okay the voltage on string 3 is more consistent then. There should be a little more than 30V per panel in series.I have 12 panels on 1 string, 6 on another, 9 on another
I have shading on string 3 until about 11amOkay the voltage on string 3 is more consistent then. There should be a little more than 30V per panel in series.
Do you have any shading on the panels?
Twelve panels in a single string should be fine.So I disconnected string 3 and now the issue is not happening. How to troubleshoot this further? I’m assuming its due to the high voltage on string 3. Is 12 panels on 1 string too much?
According to what they told me about my system (that is not yet PTO and only producing half of what it's supposed to), is to divide current between two strings in series all on same azimuths that are then connected in parellel on the roof. Saves them the trouble and expense of running a second pair of wires down to the inverter
Looks like the issue happened even with string 3 disconnected but took longer. I don’t know how tesla will figure this out. I kinda wish i didn’t go with them no
I have a thermostat in the garage and it reached max of 78 today. I left the inverter door open but still the issue happened. I also tried leaving the garage door open. Fan turns on. Yes second inverterThis is your 2nd inverter? Do you have a thermostat that you can place inside the inverter to at least exclude temperature is the issue? Do you hear or see the fan turning on?
Can you expand on that. All the strings seem to be producing something, I assume if they were not wired probably they would not produce?you solar panels are not wired correctly...
