I thought it might be easier if we captured all the various state activities/status in one area. A lot is happening and it’s not always obvious when buried in the various regional forums. I will keep this post updated with summary/current status in various states, followed by any appropriate threads. (Hopefully one of the mods will move all the threads into one subsection …

I went back to the start of 2016 in the Tesla Motors section of the forum. I still need to do the various regions. Page that keeps tabs on the CT Tesla Law SB-3: Connecticut General Assembly
It has passed the transportation committee with a vote of 29-4 on 3/15 Transportation Committee - Vote Tally Sheet
It also has finished going through the office of fiscal analysis with a positive impact for the state.
AN ACT CONCERNING THE LICENSING OF NEW AND USED CAR DEALERS.
The current status is "Favorable Report, Tabled for the Calendar, Senate"
The CT house voted on a similar bill last may favorably - If that vote carries through to this year, all that would be left is a vote by the full state senate.

Tesla bill advances in General Assembly
It appears the bill has now passed the finance committee in the house by a vote of 32-14 (Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee - Vote Tally Sheet) . It also appears it needs to pass both the house and senate this year before May 4th despite a similar bill passing in the house last year.
(SureValla) It’s interesting that this article notes there will be a limit on the amount of Tesla stores that will be allowed to open (3). I’ve read other articles that state there is no limit. I have also read the bill and do not see a limit mentioned. I know last year’s bill did have a limit of 3 so maybe this is just bad reporting. (Note from Bonnie: I believe the 3 store limit is correct. However, that was before the tsunami of Model 3 reservations and (imo) that limit should now be removed.
