Got an email from Swell Energy inviting me to participate in their VPP in Sacramento, CA. I assume this is in conjunction with SMUD. Anyone know anything about Swell or the VPP program they are doing in Sacramento? It seems interesting but I don't know what this means as far as my NEM and when solor is sold back to the grid, etc. Right now I'm grandfathered into NEM rates that pay me retail prices when I sell export enery. The incentive from Swell could more than make up for the loss of that but if anyome here has any insight or experience with them or specifically in the Sacramento area I'd love to hear your thoughts.
