Good news - the subsidies for a new Tesla increased to Y600,000 retro to November 28th, 2021.

Vehicles newly registered (registered vehicles) or new vehicle inspection notifications (light vehicles) after November 26, 3rd year of Reiwa

　⑤ Subsidy upper limit​

・ Electric vehicles (excluding light vehicles): Upper limit 600,000 yen
　　　・ Light electric vehicles: Upper limit 400,000 yen
　　　・ Plug-in hybrid vehicles: Upper limit 400,000 yen
　　　・ Fuel cell vehicles: Upper limit 2.25 million yen
　　　・ Ultra-compact mobility; Fixed amount 200,000 Yen (individual), fixed amount 300,000 yen (service use)

Thanks for confirming. My wife is currently in Japan and is trying to buy a Model 3 on January postponing the delivery for June/July (when we're actually moving to Japan). Fear of missing out, definitely.
