SR+ Dead Pedal Cover

For some reason my SR+ doesn't have the rubber cover on the dead pedal that appears in the US models, looks like the Australians have the same issue as I do. Clearly this is an issue, given the wear and dirt that will take. Ideally, I would like to get a corresponding rubber cover - but as far as I can tell I only have three options:

1. Leave it, and clean it.
2. Buy another set of car mats with the dead pedal extension (mine do not have that)
3. Buy an aluminium cover from a third party (which means I'll have to buy the matching pedal set too)

Dead pedal: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07T3FP7GX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Matching pedal set: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07P9FK8HN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Any other ideas? Does anyone have an SR+ in the UK with a dead pedal cover fitted on delivery?

Noticed this too after i picked up, just odd that we RHD versions have carpet on this part. Not sure if Europe LHD have this?

Think 1 or 2 is the best option. Im going 2 this month

I was looking early Sept but gave up in the end, but your link to the dead pedal seems a good idea. Although how well does it stick to the carpet and does it stay in place well? No reviews yet

Will order one, and if it's rubbish, will return it. If it works well, then I'll post some pictures........

Thanks for sharing. Just ordered the dead pedal cover. Think it will help us keep left foot out the way. We’re not used to automatics yet!

Looks like US (and maybe all LHD) M3's have a nice plastic/rubber dead pedal moulding cover protecting an area of heavy use with dirty soles.

More penny pinching from Tesla ... squeezing RHD customers even more.

dead pedal cover is half an inch too wide, assuming made for LHD and the manufacturers think it will fit anyway. Going to be returned!

The pedals look great though - will have a go at fitting them tmrw and post pictures.....

I take it back! I didn't realise last night that there was some flex in the panel under there, so easily mounted the dead pedal flush. Here's a couple of pictures, with the pedals too. Sorry was taking them into the sun so not perfect.....

The accelerator pedal slips over the existing pedal, the brake pedal needs the rubber cover removing (3 seconds to pull) - and then the new cap fits exactly into the same place.

The dead pedal cover had a load of adhesive tape on the back, and I was skeptical of how well it would hold to the carpet underneath - however given it's angle there is no real 'gravitational pull' to unstick it - all is good.

Just as happy with them now as the day I bought them :)
