So...... do you guys think Canada will get the price drop after the Rebate ends?

Disclaimer: I don't care if I buy the car and its gets cheaper. What I am willing to pay when i sign the dotted line is what I decide to pay. No complaints there.

I'm just wondering is the extra ~4000 CAD price on the SR+ cars is due to licensing/shipping etc to Canada versus the United States, or, you know, just $$$ padding for Tesla. If anyone has insight.

SR+ in USA = 38,990 USD = $50973.58
SR + CAN = 54,990 USD = $4016.42 extra.

NOTE: Even if it is "padding" for them to harvest the federal rebate, people are willing to pay it so I can't really blame them.

You'd think so -- given the arguments used to justify the recent price drops.

Seems a little strange to me for the same "sale" .. "rebate" .. "discount" .. pricing not to be available in Canada.

I'm not even Canadian.

If they did theoretically drop the price another $4000 with the rebate in effect.....
I can confidently say the sales would be ridiculous.
