Repair cost for a small dent in the trunk

I was taking my car out from the parking lot when another car reversed and hit mine. There’s a small dent in the trunk of my car. How much will the repairs cost? Also, will this small accident depreciate the value of my car. It’s 2023 Tesla model Y which is just a month old with 700 miles on it

Ugh...that's the worst possible small dent. It's on a crease, so it's unlikely it can be pulled out with a paintless dent repair. It's so deep that the metal has been stretched, and unlikely it could be pushed out from the inside.

I have the same dent from a guy letting his foot slip off the brakes at a red light 2 days ago. Any luck getting it repaired?

I had a similar dent in that location, courtesy of my driving out of my garage with the trunk lid up, whacking the garage door handle on the trunk. I took it to a Tesla approved body shop, The Dream Team in Virginia Beach, and about $800 later it was like new. Insurance covered it completely.

similar dent, maybe a little worse, but the local certified shop is replacing the entire liftgate. the replacement runs over $3k
