Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
I've been holding off on buying a new truck for about a year and have been waiting on the unveil.
The specs of the truck are exactly what I was looking for but it's going to take some time getting used to these looks. I suppose I'd still take it over a Rivian, so at this point you can say I am still deciding.
Since it's only a $100 refundable deposit, I ordered the top end version. Plus it will be two years before that version is produced. Maybe by then Tesla can fix the glass breaking issue.
Nope not anymore. Design Fail.
Features are great, but there is a REASON overall style has not changed in a hundred years. I hate to say it but Rivian has this one right and Tesla dropped the ball.
This would be why JB Straubel left the company. Disagreement over the truck design.
Design is new and different.
My first thought was wtf. By the end I love it. Put down a deposit and my wife was giving me a hard time because the Tesla site kept crashing while I got a reservation.
I thought they would do nore of a Mars rover design. This is actually close to a pencil drawing I saw months ago.
The design is an extreme letdown. The specs are there. But not interested in the slightest. Reminds me of a delorean, might as well have gullwings, lol.
I’ve owned and currently own many trucks including that nice f150 they pulled around during the unveiling. Of course I’m ordering one. The future is calling.

I will buy, but the first thing I will do is to wrap it.
Lamborghini and Jeep Wrangler pull-off angular design lines by offering colorful paints.
In fact, if I were Tesla, I would skip the traditional paint job on this Cybertruck, and offer only wraps with different colors (or even funky graphics.) When the wrap is scratched (it's a truck after all) it can be replaced easily and inexpensively.
