Definitely closer to the M3, but obviously it is bigger. You will be happy with it I think.
Fits 4 - 6ft people with ease. 6'4" here and leg room isn't a problem. Or head height.@SilverSmith Congrats on your purchase and thanks for all the info. Can you comment on the leg room in the rear, manual states it's more than 5 inches longer than the 3. Have multiple friends over 6 feet tall and the model 3 is not comfortable for them.
Thanks.
Awesome, thanks!Fits 4 - 6ft people with ease. 6'4" here and leg room isn't a problem. Or head height.
Drag racer downloaded.@SilverSmith thanks for all the updates, you need to make a YouTube channel and post the first 0-60 videos
FWIW, this article claims the Model Y Performance has a Track Mode. Then again, it also claims there are 20", as opposed to 21", wheels. Maybe this mode will be activated in the future?Updates:
- Charging bag only has the standard 120V 15A plug, the bigger 40A RV style isn't included like our M3.
- No AM radio, FM is included.
- No dual climate controls (Sync button isn't there when you change temp).
- Track Mode isn't there.
Thanks for all the detailed pictures. Do you know if yours was the only Y delivered to SLC this week or was there a truck load full of Y's ?Amazing, just like (or better) than the M3.
I'm not sure that the second trunk is all that relevant. Perhaps someone who has a Model Y could confirm whether the 130lb limit is realistic.also double trunk weakened floor cover a lot, do you think camping inside still works? with max loading weigh of 130lb for trunk floor, it may sink when adult sleep on it. replacing that trunk cover definitely won't come cheap with Tesla.
It's on page 20 of user manual. but whole trunk assembly seem like foam only, no hard plastic to support weight. going to scary to put heavy stuff on top.I'm not sure that the second trunk is all that relevant. Perhaps someone who has a Model Y could confirm whether the 130lb limit is realistic.
Yeah, I read that, and that's why I'd like some confirmation. These manuals are written by lawyers, not engineers. They underpromise and overwarn. It's on page 20 of user manual. but whole trunk assembly seem like foam only, no hard plastic to support weight. going to scary to put heavy stuff on top.
I wish I'd taken the opportunity on my test drive to just put my hand on that floor cover and lean down a bit. That would have answered my question.put 2-3 fully loaded dumbells on top we will know, if cover start to sink or bend, then definitely not gonna hold adult weight.
