Figured I’d share my recent experience purchasing aftermarket 22” Ohm wheels and tires for a ‘21 Model X Long Range.
The Ohm Proton 9x22 and 10.5x22” wheels fit however the Pilot Super Sports in 265/40x22” were just a hair too tall to fit under the upper control arm. I had to change the aspect ratio to 265/35x22” which matches the OEM 22” tires and fit well. The rear 295/35x22” fit as well. Photo is with the 40 aspect ratio in front prior to removing them. Looks great in the end IMO.

I can't speak to the handling as I'm self taught and really use Google and trial and error to look into this stuff - staggered fitments, etc.

I found the website Tire Height Calculator very helpful. There, you can pull up the 22" tires and it'll show you their diameters affecting the height off the ground.

It looks like 275/35 would fix the issue as well as that tire spec is 29" in diameter, the same as the 265/35 and 285/35 tires. The error I made with the 265/40 in the front is that it's 30" in diameter.

The 275/35 would have kept the difference between the front and back widths to 20mm, like OEM, so I assume that'd help handling as you mentioned. I don't know if the Michelins come in this 275/35 spec, however.
