No mention of returning hostages or bringing justice to the rape jihadists that are still at large, and demand “if an independent Palestinian state is established along pre-1967 borders.”Time has changed. Some land is better than no land.
Hamas official says group would lay down its weapons if a two-state solution is implemented
This keeps up and maybe they'll agree to a mohel to perform their circumcisions. So "From the river to the Sea, maybe not so much?" I suppose the people of Gaza are beginning to wonder what all the deaths and destruction that was incited starting on Oct 7th was really going to ever accomplish, since they literally could have had this decades ago.Time has changed. Some land is better than no land.

And they again deny that they targeted any civilians on October 7.
Delusional barbaric jihadists are impossible to reason with because of their deep unwavering moral deficiency. They are really the worst group of humans ever.
Even Iran kills their jihadist neighbors. Most countries would hate to have a neighbor like Hamas.
Lots of maps out there. I'd not take what the BBC says without a grain of salt.

There's no way in hell Israel is going to go from this conflict to two-states. Hamas absolutely convinced the Israeli public that doing so would only perpetuate the conflict. It's going to be years before Israel is going to give much of anything.
Anybody who believes a word from Hamas deserves to live under Hamas rule.I agree.
It's also possible that the representative of Hamas was just saying that so Hamas looks like the reasonable party. They have become very good at PR.
I hope it’s not a paywall because this is a very good essay on what’s wrong with our educated youth
We are the West’s last generation before the new Dark Age begins
There is no future for our civilisation if universities’ totalitarian indoctrination of the young continueswww.telegraph.co.uk
The Daily Telegraph used to be a reputable conservative newspaper. Nowadays it's just a parody of its former self, read by hard right, highly unpleasant people, at least if you judge their readers by the kind of comments you can find in the comments section. As regards Israel, you might just as well read a Likud party paper. The official comments at the DT are basically exclusively written by more or less obvious shills for Israel.I hope it’s not a paywall because this is a very good essay on what’s wrong with our educated youth

It’s not a news report it’s an opinion piece.... and obviously one that would struggle to get printed in a left leaning newspaper....The Daily Telegraph used to be a reputable conservative newspaper. That's a very dissmissive attitude towards the students. One might as well say that they haven't been bought yet by AIPAC or their big donors. It's difficult to think of a more cringeworthy and spineless performance than Columbia's Ms Shafik in Congress: "Would you risk getting cursed by the God of Israel?"; "Oh, no, no, no."I won't post it here because it was also political, but I saw an interview with Frank Bruni the other day. He's currently teaching at Duke University. The host had recently taught a seminar at USC. Both reported that the bulk of students at both universities are just trying to get through school. The protestors are a minority of students mixed with some people who aren't even students.
Bruni also had some observations on what is driving a lot of this too. A lot of it is what the students are the attitudes the kids have when they arrive at university. To some extent administrations at the schools are being pressured and bowing to the demands of students, but he's found that when he challenges student's knee jerk reactions in class, the kids respond and actually unlearn their preconceived notions.
I'm not sure it it's true, but he did observe that most kids today don't belong to anything. In the past most kids belonged to various groups on campus and off campus and by having to work within a group, you learn that you can't always get your way and that you need to compromise. But if you have been coddled your entire life and never had to face situations where you had to compromise, you get a sense of self entitlement. The world should always bow to your wishes and compromise isn't in your vocabulary.
It's an interesting thought. I have seen with a fair share of Gen Z a tendency to coddle them and not let them face any adversity growing up. A study I saw several years ago found that kids who were teens then most often wanted to be famous than anything else. It's very much a "look at me" generation. On tests that score skills along with various feelings about themselves, Gen Z scored much higher than other generations on self esteem, but fairly low on skill for anything.
This, of course, is not true for all kids in Gen Z. I know a number of Gen Z who are not full of themselves. But this narcissism is more prevalent in this generation than the generations before it.
This is also a generation that was specifically targeted by pro-Palestinian groups who have been flooding TikTok with videos and manipulating the algorithms to get them seen by as many kids as possible. As a PR exercise it has been very successful.
These kids have been bombarded with pro-Palestinian videos without the greater context for why the situation in Israel is the way it is. There is a very complex history there that most of Gen Z is completely ignorant about. So to them the US's support for Israel makes no sense. Instead of accusing the universities of teaching this stuff, someone should take a look at where they are actually learning it (TikTok) and confront it there. Blaming the universities is attacking the wrong vector.
This is quite a dismissive attitude towards the students. What makes you believe that they aren't informed about Israel's history? The more you learn about Zionism, the way Israel came into existence and the way it treated the Palestinians, the less likely you are to like this history......
