Israel/Hamas conflict

From Iran's enemies view, it's a slam dunk:

Iran has been under international weapon sanctions, and its weapon technology is quite outdated. Although it has many drones/missiles, they are useless when destroyed by the modern Israeli Iron Dome air defense technology. If Israel does "an eye for an eye," a missile/drone for a missile/drone retaliation, Iran's air defense will be in lots of trouble because of Iran's outdated technology.

Its tanks are ancient. Its jets are from the Shah dynasty, which ended in 1979. Some are from Russia in the 1990s...
Israel should do the world a favor and use the cover of irans attack to destroy their nuclear facilities.

Iran is Shia Muslim, while Saudi Arabia is Sunni Muslim.

Both claim to be the protector of Muslims and wouldn't back down.

Instead of directly fighting each other, both prefer others (proxies) to fight for them.

Although the conflict is religious base, Iran overrides its Shia Muslim's strong beliefs by fighting for the oppressed even when they are not Shia Muslims.

Hamas is Sunni Muslim (the same as the enemy Saudi Arabia). However, Iran still supports Hamas, not because of the Sunni Muslim religion but because the Sunnis are being oppressed in the Israel/Palestine region.

Such simplistic descriptions of motivations, history, and beliefs.
Put it in a complicated way: Saudi Arabia is at war with Iran. But instead of directly fighting with Iran, it just beats the hell out of the Houthi in Yemen. In turn, the Houthi shoots missiles at Israel.

In turn, Saudi Arabia hopes Israel will shoot missiles at Iran.

IDF chief says Iranian attack ‘will be met with a response’

Beating around the bush is at work.

This is a world War. Russia, China, and Iran, with their underlings, Yemen, NKorea, Syria, and their ilk, against the US, Israel, and similar. Meanwhile, some regimes move as the wind of self-interest blows them, like Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt.

This is a civilizational war, between western liberalism and eastern/middle eastern totalitarianism.

This was never a conflict between the Israel the Goliath and Palestine the David. International maneuverings are 5D chess where moves of the past are erased and rewritten.

Each nation is made up of countless smaller interests, from politicians to voters to tribes to corporations. Each nation acts out of self-interest on a broad scale but makes boneheaded moves out of arrogance, incompetence, or bad information. Self-interest is disagreed upon within each nation. The people over here do not think the same as the people over there, within and without nations. Values vary by shockingly large amounts.

The Palestinians are little more than a sacrificial pawn of their totalitarian masters. Don't mistake the movement of a couple of pieces for the entire game.

Written by an Israeli American journalist Mairav Zonszein:

"Why Israel-Iran War Is a Lifeline for Netanyahu
An isolated leader who faced widespread criticism a week ago now has the backing of the West and has deflected global attention from Gaza."

"...the strike and Iranian retaliation have had a clear upside for Israel, reducing its growing diplomatic isolation—at least from Western capitals—and offering a lifeline to Netanyahu specifically."

Iran and their ilk have been keeping Netanyahu in power for many years. The worst they behave, the longer Bibi stays.

One-word X response from Far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir talking about the Israel aerial attack in Iran: "Lame."

Yair Lapid, Israel's opposition leader, added: "A security cabinet minister has never caused such heavy damage to the country's security, image and international standing. With an unforgivable, one word tweet Ben Gvir managed to ridicule and embarrass Israel all the way from Tehran to Washington. Any other prime minister would have thrown him out of the cabinet this morning."
