Help - Curbed Underside Model 3 2022

I slowly and only for a second or two drove a tree stump that scraped/clipped the bottom of my Tesla. Directly in front of the right rear wheel. Only thing that seems to have happened is that it tore out the two black plastic screws and warped the plastic piece under the car (not sure of this pieces name).

Anyone have any ideas on urgency/price/anything else about this? Is it possible to do a quick drive-by a Tesla shop and ask them to look at it for 2 minutes and give their input?

That's what I would do - have a tech give it a quick once-over and advise.

It looks like cosmetic damage to just the plastic trim piece. You can order it from Tesla or have them replace it for you. They can also check if there's any damage to the metal underneath, but not likely that it will need any metal repairs since it would probably just be a dent that's not visible.

That's a lot, but cheaper than an insurance claim. Not too hard to replace either.

exactly its probably a few clips and screws but man for plastic pieces thats crazy

Grab some black gorilla tape and slap some on there! Might as well wait a few more months to see what else you accidently drive over before having it fixed! I curbed a wheel, but figured it won't be the last so I just left it. I now have Conti extremecontact tires that have rim protection technology so hopefully the tires will help protect the rims when the curbs attack!

I did a quick drive by to a Service center when I hit a towing receiving that was bouncing along after falling off of a truck. The service center was very nice and gave me a quote on the spot for the repairs. Let's just say it took out the front support, front motor and the shielding underneath. Quite expensive, but the car is now good as new.

Can't tell completely, but it looks like just the cosmetic piece got damaged. Would have to remove it to know for sure.

I would get it up in the air.

Be careful with the metal clips. They have a tendency to want to jump inside the frame through the holes, and then you're stuck with having them move and make noise every time you accelerate and break (ask me how I know). If this happens, you can use a telescopic magnet to fish them out.
