Really depends on where you're going, and how much time you have.

The 32A/5-pin tail is good value for what it adds but still won't cover everything.

That article is not well written and I would ignore it.

Using a single phase charger is fine. The maximum charge speed would be ~7.7 kW or less depending on the supply current.
I don't know what the author is going on about in regards to generation capacity.

I disagree, the author has probably travelled more distance in a Tesla than most people on this forum, he knows what he's talking about

The capacity of the generators at remote roadhouses, such as at the example given (Border Village on the edge of the Nullarbor Plain)

Charging on single phase is fine when you're on the main grid, but when you're relying on a generator you should do the right thing and try to keep the phases balanced where possible.

If the article is about the downside of charging in remote ;locations away from grid power then the title should reflect that. It's nothing to do with the adaptor.
