here are pix of a ChargePoint 30 amp model that died and has been salvaged with an open EVSE kit.
I had two of these chargers, and they both died after 2 years. No longer supported by ChargePoint, I used the case, relay and j1772 cord to rebuild it.
Was pretty easy to pull all the boards and then mount the open EVSE board and screen. It is amazing how small the board is compared to a build from 2010.
Routed the proper wires to the EVSE board and it works! Only thing off is that the current transformer in the ChargePoint had a different set point so current is wrong. But that's fine since the Tesla tells us the exact charge parameters.
With the board being so small now, you could make a travel charger in a piece of ABS tube.
