Surprisingly got the storm watch notification for my area of LA County. This is the beginning of that time of year for CA. Fall season begins fire season before the winter rains begin. Warm dry offshore winds (Santa Ana winds in SoCal and Diablo Winds in NorCal) drive fires after our long dry summer.
What’s unusual about this year is the hills here are already green due to the 5 inches of rain from the tropical storm in August and a few smaller rain events since. Yet there’s still a Red Flag Warning. Never seen green lush grass burn before.
