Glad to hear. Probably retained a customer. And alignment is something a qualified shop can do, lots here have taken their cars to non-Tesla SvCs for this.

If they took ownership easily, then they know it was their bad... Those shops usually try to wiggle out of that stuff if they can.

Firestone is a garbage company I can't believe they are still in business. I've used them 3 times in the last 20 years because of location necessity and it's been compete trash every single time.

Yeah, I expected more push back. But, the timeline and facts that I laid out made it pretty clear that it happened on their time.

Everyone makes mistakes but how they handle sets themselves apart from others. Who knows someone probably got a strong reprimand or maybe fired for not coming forth with what happened. Also possible it might not have happened until they were backing car out of service garage after the alignment to park it and hit a curb. If so might not have checked for damage in that case to realize how bad it was curbing it. Glad they will make it right for you. can’t ask for much more after the fact and sure a teaching moment for the shop.

After this happened to you I’m sure they would appreciate return business and make sure you are taken care of. Being so close to where you live, could be helpful having a good report with them should you find yourself with a nail in your tire as you are ready to leave for work.
