Context: 2020 model 3 LR Bought in July 2020. So come a month ago(January 2022), luckily I needed something out of my deep trunk so I opened it up and grabbed whatever but noticed that things were moist. My trunk outside was bone dry as everyone knows water rolls off glass into trunk. Preface, I don't keep water, liquids, etc in trunk! I start pulling things out and there's literally 3-5 inches of standing water in my deep trunk! I literally grab a measuring cup and start scooping water out. Come to today and I take it to the Tesla shop and they say it's missing some seals, no more leaks and cars ready. I also live in Washington state (rainy state) and recently got a garage (August 2021).
Now my thing is I don't regularly check the deep trunk but I don't know how long it's been like that and they don't either. Water has seemingly been in my deep trunk for months (August 2021 was first major rain) and possibly before. I'm thinking mold is definitely in there and potentially rust, and bacteria smell now. Which I smelled while waiting for a month for an appointment. My thing is should I petition for a replacement car or deal with that BS? Any and all feedback is welcome. All manufacturers fault here. I keep my trunk closed but it rains every other day in Washington state and I charge outside and parked outside for work, @ stores, etc.
