Creaking M3 seats [DIY Fix]

Hi all, hope this helps others. New M3LR on 22 plate. After 2k miles nasty creaking from back of drivers seat. Was being caused by steel support from lumbar system where passed through upper steel part of seat back. Coat silicone grease, no return at 10k miles. About 9k miles creaking from rear seats. Caused by central pivot point between the 40/60 split seat area, below centre arm rest. Removed all rear seats, silicone greased central pivot reinstalled. All seems good now.

Hi - have seen a post somewhere on TMC with pics, can't find it off hand now!! From back seat push down pleather and foam around headrest fork on left side of seat, clip below pleather/foam, release with flat screwdriver. Headrest pulls upwards and out. This will release seat back, might just drop off. Inside seat there is a yellow plastic moulding on steel frame. This is lumbar cushions. At top of seat 2 steel prongs from lumbar frame push through pressed steel of seat frame, bushings in here. This is where it creaks, where steel prongs meet seat frame. I greased in situ with thick silicone grease on brush up into bushings. Took 15 min, solved for 9k miles so far. Others have put tubing around prongs to insulate. Hope it is clear.
