Center console sliding cover

The sliding cover on the center console of my 2021 MS LR no longer stops at drink holder detent or stays open. The car is 2.5 years old and has 46000 miles on it. The service center wants to charge for the repair. Why is this not a warranty repair?

That should be under warranty since your warranty is still active. They have repaired mine for same issue months ago.

I haven't spoken to them since they sent the estimate. They have it listed as rev E. They also charged me for the second attempt at wind noise repair. I wonder what's going on at the New Orleans Service Center.

I can't get them on the phone or to answer in the app. No update all day today. Is there a number where I can report bad service?

Usually they charge first before proceed to the service and waive for good will under warranty
