Brake vacuum pump and isolator price

This is the electric motor pump that generates the vacuum pressure for hydraulic brakes. ICE gets vacuum from engine compression cycle suction. Hybrids and EVs need to used electric motor pump.

Price from Tesla is $500 as of now (Starting to be more challenging to get parts AND price quotes from Tesla again) Pretty easy DIY. Sounds like failure modes are gradual. Pump will run more frequently as vacuum seal leaks. Mine (2013 74k mile original pump) will run on first brake getting into car and a couple of times going down steep driveway. And maybe once every few low speed braking sessions. Not all that noticeable yet. Here is diy video.

Heard some people also upgrading to ibooster.

Yeah, another possible leak source and looks like probably another $500-$1k part. Changed one on a Volvo once, total contortionist effort as these are usually bolted deeply above the brake pedal.

Booster looks pretty standard so perhaps can be rebuilt like typical brake booster. Pump looks like glued plastic for might be harder to open and replace any worn seals.
