Assistance Needed Please - can’t get top two screws off to remove temp license plate

I finally got my DMW tags so I can put my real license plate on my new tesla. Where the temp license plate tag is now, the bottom two screws came off real easy but the top two screws are stuck. I even tried an electric screwdriver with no luck. Any suggestions please to loosen the top screws?

I had the same issue, the white anchors in which the screws go into, spin around. My solution was the try to hold down the white tabs/anchors and then unscrew slowly. I also mentioned to my service center, since then they have redesigned the tag holder.

Pull out on the screws when unscrewing. May use something to pry it out as turning.

This is a known issue which hasn’t been fixed in some later builds. I tried everything I could but ended up needing the service center to drill out the anchors and install new fasteners.

there are several threads on this. I just made an appt with the SC and they sent a mobile guy out to replace them (and install my license plate).

I've had mobile service come out twice for this. The first time, I was told to push in while unscrewing, which initially worked. The second time, I had the screw head between my fingers and it just pulled out with a gentle tug. On the second visit, mobile service replaced the grommets.

Pull out gently on the plate while unscrewing.

The threads are stripped and can’t back themselves out. They need “help”.
