The final results​

Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend! We are a sponsor here and did this 85D a while back so we wanted to share with you guys. We truly love helping our customers make their cars look perfect and keep them that way and this model S was no exception.

When this new black model S 85D first came in for new car protection, we noticed lots of defects in the factory paint. It’s swirled and speckled finish was not doing the car justice, and we couldn’t wait to make it look dripping wet like it should.

We recommended a new car protection 3 step correction and polish along with a CQuartz Finest coating that would give a luxurious shine and protection that would last for the next few years if maintained properly. This coating is the most exclusive coating in the world with only 2% of detailers who ask to be authorized installers accepted and authorized to install. We are honored to be the only location authorized to install CQuartz Finest in Northern Los Angeles at our shop in Santa Clarita, CA.

We started by performing a deep cleaning of the vehicle with a decontamination wash with iron remover before applying a clay to remove the remainder of contaminates.

Next we performed a 3 step paint correction process to remove the swirls and defects, bringing the paint to perfect. Our custom LED lit, 2,500 square foot, secure shop is set up for exactly this type of project – extremely well lit, with a dedicated light bay and every paint correction tool and material at our fingertips (we are a bit obsessed with having the absolute latest and best in our shop) for the perfect finish.

Even without any top coat protection, the finished product was extremely shiny. No more swirls or defects.

Before applying the CQuartz Finest Coating, we heated the shop to a temperature of about 80 degrees. After applying CQuartz Finest, we cured the coating with an IR heat lamp, hardening the ceramic paint coating for the ultimate shine and protection. The picture below shows

The final result was exactly how we think every Tesla should look when delivered. Clean. Flawlessly corrected. And protected. We just love the results and so did our customer.

CQuartz ranges depending on with grade of coating we are going with. The top of the line is FINEST which was done here. FINEST starts at $1100 depending on condition of the car. Even brand new Tesla's still require some love before we can apply any coating but even more love to be FINEST ready. This customer came in after this for paint protection film as well which gave much better protection from rock chips as well.
