2023 Model 3 Passenger side rear quarter panel dent

Bought my model 3 in November. Today I cut a corner in my parking garage too tight. The corner is wrapped in padding but unfortunately it still dented my quarter panel.

Toke it to a body shop and they quoted me $1400 to pop the panel off, pull the dents and then repaint and blend to the other nearby panels. I’m worried about the mismatch.

Do you think that’s a reasonable solution, anyone have any experience with paint matching on the Midnight Silver? Could this be fixed with a Paintless Dent Repair?

It's a tough spot for PDR but I've seen them fix worse. Visit some shops and see what they have to say. Since there doesn't appear to be any paint damage I would probably try that route first.

Yeah, that's absolutely a job for PDR. I think you can even reach that spot from just behind the wheel well liner. You might even be able to squeeze your fingers in there and pop it out yourself.

Take it to PDR. If they can fix it, it'll be much ,much less.

I had a hard time even seeing the dent, so yeah, I think it's probably a good candidate for PDR.

Agree. I've seen far worse than that -- orders of magnitude more -- and it was taken care of where you couldn't even tell. A good PDR place will do that for about $300-400, like it was never there.

That looks like a similar dent I had years ago. I believe it was from the seat belt. After opening the rear door and then unbuckling the seat belt, the buckle flies off and hit that spot. Just my theory because I saw my kid do it one time.

Anyway I was able to fix it myself for under $50. Not 100% but good enough for me.

I ordered from AliExpress like 4 years ago. I searched Amazon and they have similar for around the same price. Just search for "glue pdr kit". About $30 is a good price for the puller, glue gun and some glue sticks.
