Its because it has a Panasonic NCA battery with 358 miles of range.

New LR AWD Model 3's have LG NMCA batteries.

It looks like I missed this... so the 2023 LR have new battery that has less range? it's advertised at 333 miles currently.

You should have asked what caused the new and improved 2023 Tesla Model 3 LR dropped its EPA range when comparing with the prior year?

SR+ has LFP batteries
LR AWD has NMCA batteries
LR P has NCA batteries
