2017 Model S Key FOB - Reprogrammable for someone else to use?

I traded in my model S and forgot to give them my second key fob. Tesla says they don’t need it, so I am wondering if it is useful to someone else who owns a model S. I don’t know if it needs to be de-programmed before it can be reused or not. If it’s useful to someone, I’m willing to mail it to, any North American address.
