19 to 18 inch wheels and tires

Currently have continental pro contact RX tires on 19 inch wheels and wondering if it makes sense to get 18s for better efficiency and ride quality. Has anyone tried this and is it worth it? I can get aero wheels and brand new tires for $700 and thinking about doing it and selling my 19s for more

Yes. 18s will give you better "ride quality" as there are more meat on the rims. Just know that while turn you will experience soft floaty feeling vs the 19 sport rims, but if you are just doing normal daily driving in stop-and-go traffic it's perfect.

Just a guess, but the difference in range (efficiency) is probably not huge. maybe 10-15% i think.

So basically everyone has their own opinions. Doesn’t seem to be a consensus.

I have 19’s and like the look, occasionally switch between all silver sport wheel look and Yeslak black Uber covers

I’d go with 18s as they are a nicer ride and get slight benefit in range.

19” way better looking raw/silver or with Uber covers

Get the 18's. Ride is definitely better and so is range. Tires are cheaper and the rims and tires weigh less as well. You can get wheel covers that will make them look "bigger" if you want. Best of both worlds. These are my 18" wheels.
