It looks like the manual may have not been updated recently in regards to model X towing. Towing package has been standard since 2017.
Did the model X 2022 refresh keep everything the same with hitch receiver? Is it any stronger? Can it carry more vertical weight than the manual says?

I got the factory installed tow package on my model Y. I have tried 4 different hitches and all of them are so sloppy lose that they bounce up and down inside the receiver. So when I hit bumps my trailer slams up and down along with the hitch and it is really loud and can't be good for the...
Hi all,
I had a 200mile roundtrip today towing the smallest U-haul trailer, and learned a few things to share with others:
- Fully charged to 277 miles before heading out. I got down to around 50 miles remaining after 150 miles which was surprisingly bad doing a steady 65mph. First 100 miles...
Hi, we are going on a ski trip (and snowboards too) with our Model X, and I have been thinking of a hitch mount carrier to carry the cargos and sports equipment. I have a few questions here:
1. When using the super charger, would the carrier be too big to prevent the car from getting close...
Can you share your experience with carrying ski equipment in a Model X.
We have 2 pairs of skis 170cm, 160 cm and 2 snowboards 155cm
I was thinking of getting a hitch cargo carrier + a cargo box/bag.
We will have between 4 people for most over night trips and 5 or 6 people for 1 or 2 trips...
I have come up with a ski rack alternative for my Model X that I am very happy with, so I thought I would share.
I had a bunch of roof rack mounted gear for my previous car, including a ski rack, and I already have a hitch mounted, tray style bike rack, so I really didn't want to spend $400 on...
I bought the StowAway MAX Cargo Carrier ($760) for my X to go on a road trip from the LA area to the Colorado river in Laughlin, recently. I was a little worried about how it would work out, so I thought I'd share my experience here (which was good).
It holds 16 cu. ft. andup to 200 lb of...
Is anyone considering this rear-mounted cargo box from Thule? I don't know how it'll fit in back-in Supercharger locations, but definitely seems to fit the bill with the falcon-wing door limitations as well as the aerodynamic benefits compared to roof-mount.
I was trying to figure out if I...
I own one of these StowAway2 devices that is probably 70-75lbs. Was thinking it could be useful on a trip if it didn't degrade the mileage very much. Anyone want to venture a guess on the range loss. I was only thinking a 5% or less.
