Honeymoon period (boost and acceleration in general)?

Not at all what he wrote. He simply explained his surprise at how quickly the perception of fast acceleration goes away and he even goes on to stating that he believes the same would happen had the car been faster, like the P.

"Acceleration Boost" option, discussion as to which models and how much quicker

Personally I don't care if someone else got a performance upgrade that I can't get. Granted I live in Europe and there are very few (if any) AWD 980's here so its not like that would be an upgrade path to the Performance anyway. Same for Asia I assume. I would only consider the 990 inferior from...

    Orbital Wheel Covers

I don't dislike the Tesla aero caps but I think the Orbital ones look a lot better. I would have liked them in silver, for my white car, but if it ends up being only black then I am fine with that. Backed.

What did you name your Tesla?

    Racing stripes on model 3?

Not a big fan of aftermarket stripes. That having been said I believe the Model 3 can carry them better than a lot of other cars.

Anyone else have no LTE connectivity today?

I'm experiencing it today as well (6 hours and counting). Had the car for a year now and never saw it before.

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

I don't know why the hub ring would be an issue but I am interested in learning if there is an issue there. I believe that your rims would fit but I also believe that they don't have sufficient load rating relative to the Tesla guidance. They are rated at 1350 pounds which is roughly 50 pounds...

"Acceleration Boost" option, discussion as to which models and how much quicker

The two options that are mostly mentioned is either a "+" emblem or a chrome line beneath the Dual Motor text on the trunk (similar to the red performance line). Personally, I would greatly prefer a chrome line since it comes off more subtle and clean. I can't stand the "+" since it looks so...

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

As mentioned, I am not going into a "you said, I said" discussion. You clearly believe that your homemade logic stands true and, based on your writing, I don't see that you can entertain a broader perspective.

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

As long as they both are capped it would be pointless.

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

No, you don't know that, it is speculation. It is possibly correct but there are also other possibilities. I am not getting into a pointless discussion about it since I don't know whether there is any real world difference and you don't know either, despite that you have convinced yourself that...

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

It won't make a difference for the upgrade you just bought. Your car will be just as fast as any other LR-AWD with the upgrade. The whole 980/990 topic is based around speculation. No one (outside of Tesla anyway) actually knows if there is a real difference between the two. Also, it seems that...

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

That's in the US, Europe got them when shipping started in February 2019.

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

You will almost certainly have a 990 if you drive a LR-AWD. The Europeans got these right from the beginning. There are further variants of the 990, I have a B version which is one of the very early models (received it start March 2019). Not sure what the latest variant is but I doubt there is...

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

The plot thickens….. I live in Europe and have a 990 rear unit. On my Tesla page it shows the "The Acceleration Boost upgrade.....". Also the car has the 2019.40.2 SW version. Not sure that I really want to throw USD 2k after it though, expecially since it will likely be 3k+ where I live...

Cast your Vote to make model 3 car of the year on Carwow

Not sure I understand the logic you apply. No denying that there is a huge price difference between the range of cars. The Bently is damn expensive and the Peugeot is the lower end, by default there will be design and material choices that are very different. What parameters is the hopelessness...

How to properly use the alarm when staying in the car

Every morning my 2 year old daughter gets dropped off at daycare while her older 6 year sister stays in the car (she gets dropped off at school afterwards). I would love to have a way to let the music play and not activate the alarm. To avoid triggering the alarm I usually use the app to unlock...

Vendor DRIVE Electric for Tesla, an app for Samsung watches (Tizen)

I am strongly considering a Galaxy Watch Active 2 with LTE. The app looks really cool and I will absolutely get it if I end up going with a Samsung watch. Is it possible to use the walkup unlock with an LTE enabled watch? (assuming I don't have my phone on me when walking up to the car).

Which Tesla can beat most sports cars?

Its actually abut 0.8 seconds difference between the Performance and the LR AWD. The specification given by Tesla for the Performance is with a rolling start while the AWD is from a standstill. I guess they wanted to make the Performance look that little bit more attractive versus the AWD.

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

Planning that they will be on a 19x8.5" rim

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

I was wondering if a 235/35/19 would fit an AWD? I know the 235/40/19 is the standard size but there is a significant price difference in the price that I have to pay and I sort of like the idea of the smaller wheel wall I apologize if the noob question but my understanding of wheels is limited.

Model 3 Motors on the Tesla Parts Catalog

The first major wave of European cars were nearly all made in Jan - Feb. Tesla focued entirely on the US before year end 2018 due to the tax benefit being reduced. Then they pushed as mush as they could to Europe. Seems the US to Europe was also the start of the shift from the 980s to 990s. I'm...

Model 3 Motors on the Tesla Parts Catalog

LR AWD, can't find the production date but I am assuming 1/19 since any later would have made it difficult to make it to Denmark for delivery 7th of March.

    Europe, let the games begin!!

Looking forward to seeing the Model 3 on the streets.
