    Tire Wear experiences?

    Update 3/15/2020 We got to ~67,000 miles since the tire change in May '19. We did keep the 20" with Nexen N'Fera RU5 due to the bi weekly long distance driving. This set lasted 29,000 miles. Have no complaint for the ride quality or noise really nor looks of the Nexen RU5. Too bad these...

    MASTER THREAD: Tesla Insurance Services in California

    WTH, my sister was driving in the OC freeway a few weeks back and a motorcycle broke off her mirror too and kept riding ahead. She was in shock at what had happened. I am wondering if it’s deliberate at this point given the two similar stories above.

    Model 3 Zooms Through Boring Tunnel at 116 MPH

    You’re missing the point actually. You have to understand the reason why Tesla came up with their boring tunnel concept in the first place. And it has to do with the state of the tech to bore a tunnel and the time and money it takes effectively do so. Then work the math around so the project...

    4 kids: Minivan -> X...?

    Here’s a possible help. I like that it was designed by an X owner/engineer. With the thoughts towards making it lightweight and ability to stow in the car. Possibly replacing the rear trunk deck. X-Rack Tesla Model X cargo carrier: lightweight aluminum and custom fit for the trunk

    Pirelli tires for 20s

    I am looking to get Scorpion Verde with new wheels. But in the mean time, put on Nexen N'fera RU5 since the Continental CrossContact LX fronts are worn on the inside at 38,000 miles. The Nexen at $111/ea was a good price to hold me over until my decision on wheels have been selected. I can't...

    4 kids: Minivan -> X...?

    We're a family of 5 and went from a 2013 Honda Odyssey to a 7 seater Model X and do not miss the Odyssey at all. The X is more comfortable on road trips for us. Long drives that I used to dread or fall asleep at the wheel suddenly became a pleasure and not tiring at all. Odd how much autopilot...

    MX won't wake after update...help

    More info... knowing how to get the car out of the state yours is currently in. I was able to attempt the update multiple times. And sat in the car and watch the process and resulting error each time. And each time requires the 12v battery disconnect and reconnect. Tesla support pushed new...

    MX won't wake after update...help

    I went through a week of this after a failed update from 12.1 to 12.1.1. Troubleshooting... after the update has been downloaded and the car installs it. It then runs a check to ensure the update went fine. In my case, it shows that the update process failed for whatever reason. I have never...

    Tire Wear experiences?

    Adding to the data gathered here... I just replaced the 20" OEM Continental Cross Contact LX on my March 2018 Model X 100D. 38,000 miles for a year of driving. Lots of highway and city. And a 1miles stretch of gravel road about 5 times a week at my son's soccer field. The fronts were very worn...

    Supercharger - San Diego, CA - Camino Del Sur (Black Mountain Ranch area, LIVE 11 Jan 2019)

    Interesting...4pm on a beautiful Friday evening, and this new SC is all used up. (ChargePoint still available). While Qualcomm has two spots open and Carlsbad has 5. So perhaps it does alleviate some traffic from Qualcomm after all?

    Supercharger - San Diego, CA - Camino Del Sur (Black Mountain Ranch area, LIVE 11 Jan 2019)

    OIC, then from what I saw, there was two Tesla Urban charger, and two third party ones near those ADA parking spots. So they service those four parking spots.

    Supercharger - San Diego, CA - Camino Del Sur (Black Mountain Ranch area, LIVE 11 Jan 2019)

    Was at Target and remember to go take a peek at the progress. It looks all ready to me. Perhaps they waiting on the opening ceremony like they held at the A street location. Here are some photos. Looks like urban superchargers.. except for two of the ones near the handicap spaces. They...
