    Model S Exterior: Paint Armor

It would be interesting to hear the experiences, over time, of Model S owners who opt not to have the Paint Armour regarding scratches and chips etc under normal day to day operating environment. Is the Paint Armour really worth it?

A Different Approach to Valet Instructions

Yes, unfortunately, if a word is used often enough (no matter how incorrect the context or syntax) it eventually enters the lexicon and becomes accepted. I am a bit of a purist myself...

A Different Approach to Valet Instructions

Is there a need for instructions to raise the air suspension? Carparks can be notorious for sharp dips at the bottom and curves at the top of driveways. IMHO valeted is not a word. Valet is a noun not a verb therefore you cannot valet the car, have valeted the car or be in the process of...

Drive off while still plugged in?

Is that a White Volvo stopped at the lights in the rain? I thought Volvo was the safest of cars? Tut tut Volvo.....you should have thought about not allowing the car to drive off with the gas filler door open !

Ticketed for parking Roadster in alternative-fuel area

Oh! Well, I guess the Parking Officer is just too stupid or too lazy to bother educating him/herself in what constitutes an Alternative Fuel Vehicle. :frown:

Helping people find or sell a reservation for a model S or X

I agree with mnx: Speculators are the only ones who gain at the expense of enthusiasts who really want the car by extending the wait time for them while allowing "Jonny come lately" to jump the queue by flashing his $ around. Unfair by my egalatarian ideals but typical of free market capitalism...

    Maintaining a dark paint job

Model S Shows Its True Colors (Photos)

Thanks, GeorgeB. Pretty darn close but near impossible task given that the sun doesn't like to stay still why u execute your great idea. Check out the shadow under tree on the left and shadows behind and to the side of the car. 10/10 for effort! Disclosure: OCD again. Sorry.

anyone hoping for a Model S convertible?

It wouldn't be that hard to produce the Cabriolet given that the bulk of the hard work has already been done - developing the battery pack, drive train, suspension and steering. The rest is just a bit of structural work and body panels.

    Tesla car buying experience

Sounds like a crazy system to me but I guess it's a legacy of how the US developed as a nation over time. Getting 50+ states to agree to a better system, I imagine, is pretty much impossible. (In Australia, we only had 6 States and 2 Territories to get to agree to abolish State Sales Tax and...

    Tesla car buying experience

Suggestion Box: What colors would you like Tesla to add?

Opportunity Console - New Photos, Poll

Ticketed for parking Roadster in alternative-fuel area

Should EVs Make Artificial Sounds at Low Speeds?

In Australia there is also talk about making a noise generator mandatory mainly at low speeds around town to alert pedestrians (especially blind pedestrians) to the car's presence and then would switch off at higher speeds. (Thank goodness). It's pretty unimaginative to think the sound has to...
