101% agree with you! I got my M3 on Day 1 order (2016). Still love it very much, want to look for the Y with higher profile, roomier inside. But, the urgly and cheap bumper really turn me off! It is one of the worst bumper design in over my 40 years driving. Just redesign the rear bumper...

The ugliest component on Model Y is the cheap black plastic rear bumper. I am so surprise that nobody ever mention about this issue. Until this ugly bumper is redesigned I will never trade my 2018 Model 3 AWD for the Y!

I already owned a Tesla 3 wishing to get a Tesla SUV, but the "Y" is just another Tesla 3 with higher profile! Why don't they design a real SUV (ie Mazda -5 shape)?
